PayTomorrow does not have a standalone refund policy — refunds are processed as a merchant return → PayTomorrow credit → loan adjustment chain. Understanding each step prevents delays and confusion.
| Step | Typical Time |
|---|---|
| Item returned to merchant | Your timeline |
| Merchant submits credit to PayTomorrow | 1–5 business days |
| PayTomorrow processes credit | 3–7 business days |
| Balance update visible in portal | 1–2 business days after processing |

| Total end-to-end | 5–20 business days typical |
Call PayTomorrow at (866) 418-5857 with your merchant return confirmation number. They can contact the merchant directly to confirm and accelerate the credit posting.
Refunds for purchases financed through PayTomorrow involve two separate parties: the merchant who sold you the product, and the lender who extended the financing through the PayTomorrow platform. Understanding which party handles what part of the refund process prevents confusion and delays.
If you want to return a product purchased through PayTomorrow financing, start with the merchant's return policy — not with PayTomorrow. The merchant determines whether you can return the item and what refund they will issue. PayTomorrow is the financing layer; the merchant controls the product return.
Once the merchant approves your return, they initiate a refund to PayTomorrow's lender. This process typically takes 5–10 business days to appear in your PayTomorrow account. You will not receive cash directly — the refund is credited against your loan balance or, if the refund exceeds your balance, returned via check or ACH.
After initiating the return with the merchant, contact PayTomorrow at (866) 418-5857 or [email protected] to notify them of the pending refund. Providing the merchant's return confirmation number helps PayTomorrow match the incoming credit to your account correctly.
Important: continue making your regular loan payments until the refund is confirmed and your account is updated. Stopping payments while waiting for a refund can result in late fees and negative credit reporting, even if the refund is legitimately in process.
For partial refunds (returning one item from a multi-item purchase) or exchanges, the process is the same: the merchant initiates the credit, PayTomorrow applies it to your account balance. A partial refund reduces your remaining loan balance — it does not change your monthly payment amount unless you contact PayTomorrow to restructure the loan.
For disputes where the merchant is unresponsive or refuses a legitimate return, contact PayTomorrow customer service to initiate a dispute process and, if necessary, file a CFPB complaint at consumerfinance.gov/complaint.
